End of Summer

The days are getting shorter, and the sound of school buses shuffling kids to school fills my neighborhood. Autumn is on it's way, but summer is not going without a  fight in St. Louis. It's been humid and hot well into the 100's the past week.

The paintings below by three talented artists reflect my wish for a nice cool beach to linger at with the last days of summer. Sadly I am far from a beach or a cool water front to refresh my being. Thus, these paintings for now will have to do. Each painting with their warm and mix of cool colors remind me of slowing down before the weather turns cooler in the months ahead.

I will reflect upon these paintings when the doldrums of winter have set in for the season, and to give me hope for warmer days to come.

Enjoy the last days of warms of autumn wherever you may be!
